Ayaselva
Three-language website for a healing center in Peru

Ayaselva is a small, family-run healing center in the jungle of Tamshiyacu, near Iquitos. It hosts a maximum of six guests at a time, in retreats of 7 and 12 days. Guests come from the US, Peru, the UK, the Netherlands, Australia and Germany, and they search in their own language. They needed a site that calmly explains how a retreat works, what preparation is asked and how to get in touch, without a sales tone.
I built an Astro site in three languages: English, Spanish and Dutch, with the same structure in each (over 25 pages per language, translated journal) and hreflang tags on every page so Google shows each visitor their own language. The pages cover what to expect, how to prepare, safety and health, the team and the frequently asked questions. Guests fill in a health questionnaire straight from the site before taking part, and Google reviews are shown on the home page. The journal collects articles that answer what people actually search for. The site is published on Vercel and the sitemap is generated automatically.
